FAIP (Felony Alcohol Intervention Project)
The Felony Alcohol Intervention Project, or FAIP, is a unique program in Tarrant County where a person charged with a felony DWI can opt for treatment rather than a lengthy court battle. The program provides intensive treatment over a shorter period of time, generally four years, rather than up to ten years of probation or, worse, penitentiary time. Although prior felony DWI's do not disqualify an individual from FAIP, there are certain restrictions on admission and applications must generally be made within 60 days of arrest. For more information on FAIP program in Tarrant County, please call our office and talk to one of our felony DWI attorneys at (817) 888-8888.
